Animations are not good, voice acting is so-so, plot is thin, navigation is a bit awkard, puzzles are rather simple... Ok this was almost so bad that it made it fun, I did finish the game but I cant really recommend it to anyone else right now, this game needs a tad more love and care from the developper(s)...On the bright side, I did not run into any bugs (so there IS some love from the developper :))Not recommended (realy). This wasn't a bad game.It was longer than I thought which is a plus, but it's hard to get past its faults;-Often the game won't acknowledge you've clicked on a hidden Object until you've clicked the whole area around it.-The hints aren't useful. Often they're stuff like; 'Put paper on hooks' What hooks? Where?-Map would be useful.. I took a chance on this game despite the negative reviews since I'm running low on this kind of game and it was only $2.50 on sale.Honestly, it's not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be. While there are some minor technical difficulties, i.e. a few objects in the HO scenes took some pixel-hunting to obtain), nothing is off-the-charts bad. There were honestly so few of the "why is it taking me 150029492 clicks to get this object" problems, it didn't bother me much when it did happen.The game ran perfectly on my newish Windows 10 laptop. No issues whatsover.Graphically a little older-looking but still nice-looking. Voice-acting was decent which is all I've learned to want in a HO game. Music and sound was well done.There are not a lot of frills to this game; no interactive map, no achievements, no extra objects, etc. which we've learned to expect thanks to the really spectacular Artifex Mundi games, but this game strikes me as an older one from a time when the bells and whistles weren't so prevalent. It doesn't bother me any but if you're expecting something like the newer, shiny games, you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment.In conclusion, this is a perfectly passable HO game and worth it if you can grab a sale (I wouldn't recommend full price due to the couple of minor issues listed above). As long as you don't expect a masterpiece, it's an amusing use of a couple hours with a story that's surprisingly touching at points.. It is just plain boring. The story makes no sense and the graphics are poor.. So a hidden object game, and if you know the genre you probably know what to expect more or less - the story is fairly perfunctory, the few animations of characters are bad, the hidden object scenes are decent if overused, the in game logic is as random as nearly all such games - one minute you are psychically picking up and keeping items you have no idea you need yet (at least in this case you could argue some slight justification in the story for this), the next you seem to have thrown away the last 15-20 hammers you have picked up during the story so far and now need another one, etc.The main good points here are that the graphics are pretty decent, none of the scenes will really have you squinting to try and determine what something is, the point and click segments mostly make sense and flow from each other without having to backtrack too much. The weaker points are the lack of a map and the hint system is very general (it tells you what you need to do next accurately, but it isn't always obvious where you have to go or where to find an item it says you need) - the lack of map isn't too bad though, as the game is fairly linear and you tend to mostly work in one area at a time, and it does have the plus of making it slightly more immersive than in other games in the genre where you just end up teleporting around chasing exclamation marks. The mini game puzzles are also very easy pretty much across the board, so don't expect to really stretch your brain here.It is perfectly playable (and currently ridiculously cheap), so if you want another HOG then this is a perfectly acceptable option if you aren't too picky.. Hard Dry Camel flomp. While the story of this game is ok, as are the graphics I can´t recommend it for a number of reasons:1) The hitboxes in the hidden object puzzles are simply bad2) The hidden object puzzles themselves vary from decent to downright awful, an example of the latter would be finding 12 rolls of ducttape pasted onto a previous hidden object scene3) The german translation is simply unfit for purpose as it is complete gibberish at times, and as there is no way i could find to turn the game pack to english even though my steam client is set to english it made the game almost unplayable,In short, there are many, many better hidden object games out there, don´t buy this one.And for my countrymen the most important part again in german:Übersetzung ist furchtbar, daher sind oftmals nichtmal die Hilfe Texte zu verstehen und das macht das Spiel beinahe unspielbar.(and just in case the english speakers among you wonder here is a translation of that german sentence)Translation is awful, because of this even the help text is impossible to understant at times, this makes the game almost unplayable.. Awesome HOG & cool puzzles10/10No glitches & drops cards.. Pretty good hidden object game. It was a decent length and the graphics have been updated to run on my current system with a resolution of 1920x1200. If you love hidden object games this one is a go.
