Got a refund.. I normally don't play horror games, but since it was Halloween and on sale, why not! I'll try to describe this without any spoilers (especially since this could count as survivor, too)! This was seriously setting a spine-tingling atmosphere the further you play! I was almost too scared to play it (laughs, jk)! But if you really wanted to feel the chills this game sets off, try playing it in the dark. I enjoyed the game very much! Although it was short-ish, it certainly was NOT easy at times and had puzzles that requires one to think things through and has a well-thought and creative story. Furthermore, although I totally recommend the game, I do have a list of pros and cons I'd like to share as well. List of Pros:-Includes Easter eggs/references!-Simple yet challenging-Has a mystery for you to solve in prior events -Displays gory details and nice graphics for a 16-bit game-Truly a horrific game that makes you want to play to see what happens next-At times keeps you in suspense!-Despite not having much of a soundtrack, it still displays an eerie ambienceList of Cons:-You are an open target even if you look at your map-The psycho tends to "spawn" EVERYWHERE, so you always need to be on your feet-Despite having a flashlight, it doesn't help as much as you think-It doesn't display an objectives list or tell you what to do if you get lostBut there you have it! Don't get me wrong, I seriously liked the game, but there were times I was getting frustrated and I had to think about the next thing of what to do, but over all, a great game! Even if it doesn't seem interesting, just give it a try! I enjoyed it very much and would play again...after forgetting my first playthrough! XD. The game is quite sweet. I Recommend it. ...Like just buy it now.. Yada yada, insert link to my series for the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yQcqRPM70g&t=24sNow with that bs outta the way, here's what I have to say about Camp Sunshine: it was not at all what I was expecting, but in a good way. Lemme go over all the bits of this 16-bit horror RPG game, and there will be spoilers sprinkled in: -The story's surface portray's this game as a typical slasher story set inside the grounds of Camp Sunshine. If you delve into the game's notes explaining what happened, you'll find that there's some spooky stuff goin' down involving a life-long curse given to a family's son by a cultist group. There are plenty of 80's references everywhere you look, even in the game's dialouge and on random posters within cabins.-The gameplay was alright. The Summer Camp Slasher comes equipped with teleportation so he can appear in most locations, but not all as the game mentions it can do. The hardest difficulty is a joke when you have plenty of items and can easily escape the slasher, but I'm under the assumption this gives you the best ending. There are side quests that give you plenty of supplies, which ruins the point of a very hard difficulty, not to mention that the slasher AI's pretty dumb when it comes to hiding and how frequently he actually shows up. The game was more casual, which made it more enjoyable. However, I do wish there was an actual challenge to be offered within this game, plus achievements to mark your success as a completionist.-The audio was fine. I loved the soundtrack and it's 80's horror/slasher feel, but the voice acting was sub-par. The slasher didn't give off any sort of creepy vibe for being a supernatural being, just more of a generic sounding killer if you ask me. At least I can say there was some moments where the audio design was utilized to create tension when the game would get stale.-As a weird sort of incident, my game crashed when there was a flashback of Isaac eating his pet hamster, right when the father asked what he was doing. I thought this was a meta moment in the game before I reopened it and replayed the section only to find out it was a bug. On the upside, I didn't experience any lag like people mentioned beforehand.Camp Sunshine is a quirky little spoof of 80's horror/slasher flicks. The game's filled to the brim with references to pop culture of the decade, and that may be enjoyable to a lot of people, including myself. Give it a try if you're up for a blast from the past. Thank ya'll for readin', and I hope you have a great day, folks.. Fantastic game!!I played for 4 hours last night until I got stuck trying to find the cross and the sock. Currently out of food and batteries but I know that if I continue on I will find the items! It only crashed once for me when I first entered the swamps but I luckily saved just before that. I'm so excited for the end of this game and I hope to see more games from the devs in the future. Thank you so much!! p.s. I squealed in happiness when I saw the green and red sweater ;). i loved this game in pays back to classic slasher fllm gerne and really give you that sense of dread and suspense knowing sunshine bear can pop out anywhere. Yes the game is short and can finished in about 3 sitting but the story and overall game play i give 8/10ps.Please give the big foot a sock i cry every time QwQ
